WASILLA — There are a variety of Halloween themed events planned across the Valley for the remainder of October. Below is a compilation of local events with activity details, pricing and other relevant information to plan accordingly.
By day, the Reindeer Farm hosts a “Spooky Walk” full of animatronics and fun fall music. After dark, they add live actors, and spooky sounds to make a fun and frightful experience in the Haunted Barn.
Tickets are available for purchase at the gate. VIP ticket holders skip the line to purchase tickets with an option to purchase preferred parking. There is a limited number of VIP admissions available. For more information, visit reindeerfarm.com/haunted-barn-reindeer-farm-after-dark.
The Greater Palmer Chamber of Commerce created an all new Halloween event with downtown businesses to support the Mat-Su Special Santa program. Local businesses across the downtown shopping district will be handing out candy to local families as they make their way from one store to the other. Denali Gymnastics & Fitness is hosting a trunk or treat event in collaboration with Kaitlyn McGilvray from State Farm. This event is free to attend and it runs from 7 to 9 p.m. There will be food trucks onsite. For more information, call 907-373-3547.
State Farm Insurance Agent Mike Devine, along with 10 local businesses are hosting a trunk or treat event from 2 to 4 p.m. All are welcome to attend. The event will take place at Devine’s office parking lot, located at 2200 East Parks Highway in Wasilla. For more information, call 907-373-4959.
Everette’s is holding a spooky community event called Halloween Party Gras on Halloween, starting at 7 p.m.
There will be a costume contest with prizes, scary drinks and food, and a live DJ. Admission is $20.00, which includes entry into the contest, and $20 worth of house credit asable at the bar and restaurant. Tickets will be available at the door or they can be purchased online. I Like Robots is celebrating Halloween with a neon, 80’s style celebration and live performance at the Palmer Ale House, starting at 6 p.m on the actual holiday. Brightly colored 80’s attire is encouraged.
American Legion Post 35 is hosting Halloween parties for kids and adults Oct 31. Kids activities run from 2 to 4 p.m. and the adult party starts at 7. For more information, call 907-376-3500 or visit their Facebook page.
Saturday, Oct. 31: Halloween Spooktacular at Menard
The Menard Sports Center is holding their annual Halloween Spooktacular event Halloween night, starting at 6 p.m. This is a free public skate that encourages kids to wear their costumes on the ice. Saturday, Oct. 31: City of Houston presents Trunk or Treat
