PALMER — Friends of the Palmer Public Library Sunday at 2 series continues this week with a performance by the handbell choir from the United Protestant Church of Palmer.

In December, the monthly event features a performance by Flat Baroque and The Fireside Quartet. The concert, titled “A Gift of Music from the Renaissance,” is at 2 p.m., Dec. 5 at the Palmer Train Depot.

Flat Baroque members — including Kathi Baldwin, Amber Baldwin, Forrest Baldwin, Linda Olson, Rose Hendrickson, John McGilvray, Karl Wilihelmi and Michele Whaley — will perform on period instruments including recorders, krummhorns, strings, harpsichord and percussion instruments.

All Sunday at 2 events are free and sponsored by the Friends of the Palmer Public Library. Other performances include Cantora Arctoca on Feb. 12, 2012, at the Palmer Depot and Matanuska String Orchestra May 6, 2012, also at the depot.
