The annual Harvest Dinner, a fall social event and fundraiser featuring Alaska Grown foods, is at 6 p.m., Oct. 24 at the Mat-Su Senior Services building, 1132 S. Chugach St, Palmer.
Alaska farm producers donate part of their harvest to share with the community at this event, sponsored by the Northland Pioneer Grange, Mat-Su Chapter of the Alaska Farm Bureau and the Palmer Kiwanis Club.
In return, those in attendance are asked to donate to help cover other costs of the event. Dinner attendees may also participate in a live auction, which benefits local 4-H Club and FFA programs.
A dessert contest, judged by local Kiwanians, also is part of the festive evening.
