ANCHORAGE — Heather Gray posted a hat trick to lead the Mat-Su Ravens to a 3-2 win over Service/East at Ben Boeke Arena in Anchorage on Tuesday.
Gray scored twice in the first period and added the game-winner in the third to help the Ravens record the win. Gray’s first two goals, scored just 1 minute and 45 seconds apart, gave the Ravens the 2-0 lead.
Service/East’s Amy Broussard scored on the power play during the final minute of the first period to cut Mat-Su’s lead in half and Joey Hess scored again for Service/East at the 8:37 mark of the third to tie the score at 2.
Gray quickly pushed the Ravens back into the lead, scoring the game-winner just 14 seconds after the Hess goal.
Tessa Muilenburg stopped 23 shots to earn the win in the Ravens net. She had 11 saves in the third period.
