Hawks fall twice on trip to Kenai Peninsula

SOLDOTNA —Kenai Central used five third-period goals to skate to an 8-3 win over the Houston Hawks at the Soldotna Sports Center on Friday.

Kenai led just 2-1 after the first period, but the Kardinals scored six times during the final two frames of the win.

Freshman Lane Styers netted a pair of goals in the loss. Styers also assisted on Ken Doss’ first-period score.

Doss posted Houston’s lone goal during a 6-1 loss to Soldotna on Saturday.
