WASILLA —The Houston Hawks have made school history. Houston used a 47-6 win over Seward Sept. 13 to start the prep football season 5-0 for the first time.
Talupo Falaniko and Owen Mulhaney struck on both sides of the ball to lead the Hawks. Falaniko and Mulhaney each returned an interception for a touchdown. On offense, Falaniko grabbed four catches for 125 yards and a score. Mulhaney rushed for 138 yards and a touchdown on only five carries. Hawks quarterback Gavin Mulhaney completed 8 of 13 for 202 yards and a touchdown. All of the passing yards came in the first half, including 152 in the first quarter.
Kennedy Fono added 88 yards rushing and two scores. Tucker Croghan chipped in 42 yards and a touchdown.
In other Division III action during the fifth week of the season, Redington suffered a 29-0 loss at Eielson.
