HOUSTON — The Houston Hawks scored only four points during the extra frame, but it was enough to score the 48-46 overtime win over the Kenai boys Thursday night at Houston High School.
Matt Barron led the Hawks with 11 points in the win. Mitchell Ruta chipped in 14 points for Houston. Samuel Brandt added nine and pulled down a game-high 11 rebounds.

Colony runs past West Valley
PALMER — Sparked by an early run, the Colony Knights ran to a 61-44 nonconference win over West Valley Wednesday at Colony High School.
Powered by Nathan Umbarger, Colony opened the game with a 7-0 run and led 20-6 after the first quarter. Umbarger scored 10 of his 16 points the first quarter.
West Valley opened the second quarter on a 7-0 run, but scored seven of its 11 second-quarter points during the first two minutes of the frame.
Damien Fulp poured in a game-high 18 points. He was 9 for 10 from the free throw line. Colony finished 19 for 27 at the line in a game that featured 51 total fouls.

T-Birds rally past Moose
PALMER — The East Anchorage Thunderbirds needed a 19-point fourth quarter to rally to a 61-56 nonconference victory over Palmer on Wednesday at Palmer High.
Xavier Johnson and Jarred Laws scored six points each during the fourth to help East come back from a 45-42 third-quarter deficit.
Connor Looney netted a team-high 22 points in the loss. Looney was 10 of 11 from the free-throw line. Brian Selmer added 15 points.

Warriors fall in OT
JUNEAU — The Wasilla Warriors suffered a 52-44 overtime loss to Juneau-Douglas in Juneau on Monday.
Emillio Carney led the Warriors with nine points, while Alex Baham and Cash McGregor added eight each.
