The Houston Hawks used a 26-point third quarter to grab a 72-50 win over Nikiski on the program’s senior night, Friday.
Lincoln Davies scored seven of his nine points during the third. Blade Christensen added all six of his points in that quarter. Sebastian Sanford led the Hawks with 15 in the win. Blake Baskett added 13.
The Nikiski girls beat the Hawks 56-18. Danyel Loyd led Houston with nine.
The Homer Mariners swept Houston the night before Homer scored a 54-7 win in the girls game and 56-39 victory in the boys contest.
In other action, the Susitna Valley boys beat Redington 65-50. Austin Barnard led the Rams with 24 points. Kaedon Saxton scored 10 for Redington.
The Su Valley girls scored a 38-22 victory over the Huskies. Jayden Sliker and Ananda Lankard had nine points each for the Rams. Janessa Gubler had 10 for the Huskies.
