Health care reform awakened a giant

To the editor:

Throughout the of history of the United States of America, when aggressive action has been undertaken by an enemy in an attempt to destroy our way of life and against its citizens, many famous quotations have been recorded. These quotes include: “Give me liberty, or give me death,” “Damn the torpedoes, full speed ahead,” and others.

With the passage of Obama Care by the Democratic Party, I am reminded of another famous quotation uttered on Dec. 7, 1941. This quotation was not rendered by an American, but by the enemy upon its attack on Pearl Harbor. Admiral Yamamoto aboard his flag ship said after sending an air attack, “I fear all we have done is to awaken a sleeping giant and fill him with terrible resolve.”
