Health care reform needed

To the editor:

1. U.S. has the poorest quality health care of all the industrialized nations.

2. U.S. has the most expensive health care of all the industrialized nations.

3. U.S. provides the least amount of health care to its population of all the industrialized nations. One-third of all Americans do not get any health care they need.

4. U.S. life expectancy is 2.5 years less than any of the industrial nations.

5. U.S. has the most expensive medication costs of any of the industrial nations.

The U.S. is the richest nation in the world and has the least concern for the health of its citizens.

If we combine Medicare, Medicaid, Indian health and veterans health into one agency, there is enough money to provide health care for every American.
