Okay, here we go – my quest to improve my overall health begins today. I’m nervous about doing this so publicly, but I’m also feeling like this extra sense of accountability will help me achieve my goals. Let’s face it – when it’s below zero, it’s hard to get out the door to work, much less the gym. But I can hardly blog that I’ve done NOTHING, so thanks for reading and helping me stay on track.
The nice folks at the AT&T Sports Center have been a huge help to me already. They did a fitness evaluation for me last week and put me on a training plan. They are offering a cool program to support Trim To Win participants. It’s called New Year, New You Challenge and it includes 8 weeks of mentoring and coaching, nutrition advice, workouts created by a personal training, and tons of support. You also get a cool fitness journal that will help you record your progress. The classes start tomorrow night (Tuesday, Jan. 18) at 5:30 pm. You can learn more by called 746-7529.
I’m looking forward to the adventure of getting healthier, and I’m excited to be doing it as part of a wonderful community event. I hope that 3 months from now we all have amazing progress to report!
