Hold all officials to high ethical standard

To the editor:

To those voting in the upcoming Wasilla recall election, please take the Menard name out of the equation. Some folks would give him a pass because of it and some would be glad to see the Menard name discredited. Two questions to base your vote on:

1. Do you believe the councilman has worked hard and accomplished good things for your city?

2. Do you approve of his job performance strongly enough to trust his promise to walk the straight and narrow path in the future?

A person's vote is one thing uniquely their own, over which they have complete control. It is one of our country's most precious privileges. Use your judgment for what/who is best for the city of Wasilla.

Finally, rather than shining a spotlight on just one local councilman, turn the light switch on in the room and hold all our elected officials to a high ethical standard.
