Holiday craft fair at WASI is Nov. 5-6

Holiday craft fair is from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Nov. 5 and from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., Nov. 6 at the Wasilla Area Seniors Center, 1301 South Century Circle. The event includes gifts and treasures by local crafters, bakers and artists. Follow the signs from Knik-Goose Bay Road and Palmer Wasilla Highway.

Homesteaders Christmas on tap

Homesteaders Country Store’s second annual Christmas Meet and Greet is 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturdays, Nov. 5 through Dec. 17. Tables cost $10 each. Consignees also are asked to donate one item for the Christmas sock again this year. Each customer gets one ticket and extra tickets are $1 each, or you can trade three food items for a free ticket. The drawing is Dec. 17, and proceeds benefit the Big Lake food bank.

Idita-Bazaar is Nov. 12

Iditarod Elementary PTA’s Idita-Bazaar is from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Nov. 12 at the school. The event includes vendors and a silent auction.

Elks’ craft fair is Nov. 12

Palmer Elks’ Craft and Gift Fair is Nov. 12

The Palmer Elks Lodge’s annual Craft and Gift Fair from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Nov. 12. This is open to the public and vendor space available for $35. This is a non-smoking event. There will be an assortment of arts, crafts, baked goods and delicious concessions. There also will be raffles and door prizes as well. St. David’s annual Holiday Bazaar

St. David’s Episcopal Church invites area holiday shoppers, bargain-hunters and lovers of handmade arts and crafts to its annual Holiday Bazaar on Nov. 19. The event is from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the church, located at mile 2.2, Wasilla-Fishhook Road. It is free and open to the public.

The Women’s Ministry of Palmer Church of the Nazarene’s seventh annual Holiday Bazaar is from 11a.m. to 5 p.m., Nov. 19 at the Palmer Train Depot. There are a limited number of spaces available — backwall is $55, hall or center of room $45, table rental is an additional $5. ‘Holiday Tree Gala’ is Dec. 3

Alaskans for Palmer Hay Flats State Game Refuge’s Holiday Tree Gala is from 6 to 9 p.m., Dec. 3 at the Best Western Lake Lucille in Wasilla. The event begins with the viewing and live auction of beautifully decorated Christmas trees and also will include hors d’oeuvres, desserts from North Star Bakery and fine wines from local distributors. Local music ensembles will perform festive songs of the season. Exceptional silent auction items are being gathered.
