• Alaskans for Palmer Hay Flats State Game Refuge’s Holiday Tree Gala is from 6 to 9 p.m., Dec. 3 at the Best Western Lake Lucille in Wasilla. The event begins with the viewing and live auction of beautifully decorated Christmas trees and also will include hors d’oeuvres, desserts from North Star Bakery and fine wines from local distributors. • Homespun Holiday Bazaar is from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Dec. 3 at Butte Elementary School, 4006 S. Butte Road. • The non-profit Denali Cheer Booster Club, which supports the Denali Cheer Leader Teams, is hosting a Bazaar at the Boys and Girls Club in Wasilla from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., on Dec. 3 and 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., Dec. 4 to benefit the Rising Star team, which is raising money to travel to the national competition.

• Primrose Retirement Community’s Annual Holiday Gala Benefit is from 7 to 10 p.m., Dec. 9, featuring music by Pianist Alexander Zlatkovski. • Homesteaders Country Store’s second annual Christmas Meet and Greet is 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturdays, through Dec. 17. Tables cost $10 each. Consignees also are asked to donate one item for the Christmas sock again this year. Each customer gets one ticket and extra tickets are $1 each, or you can trade three food items for a free ticket. The drawing is Dec. 17, and proceeds benefit the Big Lake food bank.
