The Alaska Animal Advocates are seeking cat and dog food donations, to help feed the surviving animals of a house fire that occurred June 1 in Willow.
The fire left Nicholas Kimlinger and Dianne Maythorne homeless, after it destroyed their two-story log cabin home. The pair also had a number of animals on their property, and 13 of their dogs were also lost to the conflagration, while one of their two cats is missing.
Ten dogs survived the tragic incident and now need food. The Alaska Animal Advocates requests donations of Nature’s Domain dog food, which can be found at Costco, but they will take any kind. They will also accept any type of cat food donations. Bring donations to the Palmer Veterinary Clinic, located across from the Alaska State Fairgrounds.
