• 2012 Wasilla High School graduate Carly Colligan received a $500 scholarship from PEO Chapter Q, Chugiak. Carly will attend Carroll College in Helena, Mont., in the fall to major in biology (pre-med). PEO is an international philanthropic organization supporting women’s education.
• Michelle Stratton of Palmer, a pre-business-sports administration student, earned a grade point average of 4.0 for the spring 2012 semester and was named to the president’s list at Presentation College, Aberdeen, S.D.
• Elizabeth Kelly of Palmer was named to the honors list for the spring 2012 semester at Concordia University, Seward, Neb.
• Sara Reed of Palmer was named to the president's list at Gonzaga University, Spokane, Wash., for the spring 2012 semester.
• Paxson Matthews of Talkeetna was named to the president's list at Gonzaga University, Spokane, Wash., for the spring 2012 semester.
• Melody Mileur of Palmer was named to the president's list at Gonzaga University, Spokane, Wash., for the spring 2012 semester.
• Holiday Rigdon, a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Ladies Auxiliary No. 9365 in Wasilla, received a $1,000 Continuing Education Scholarship. Rigdon is enrolled in the physical therapist assistant program at Wallace Community College, Dothan, Ala.
