HOUSTON — The city of Houston held elections on Tuesday for three city council seats. Only one of the races featured more than one candidate, and still may not be decided until all of the early, absentee and questioned ballots have been counted.
Gina Jorgenson holds the lead with 88 votes for Seat B over John Meyer who has 82 votes. 20 ballots are still left to be counted, so this race may still change in the coming week.
Kate Stavick received 149 votes for Seat C, running unopposed. Lance Wilson also ran unopposed, receiving 151 votes for Seat D.
Of the 1,490 registered Houston voters, 186 cast ballots at a clip of 10 percent.
