ANCHORAGE — The Houston Hawks snagged a key Southcentral Conference road win Tuesday, edging Grace Christian 36-32.
The Hawks used a 11-7 third-quarter run to get by the Grizzlies and split the two-game regular-season series. Savannah Wells scored a game-high 11 points for the Hawks. Khristin Nida chipped in six, and Kimberly Quincy pulled down a game-high eight rebounds.
In boys’ action, Grace Christian overcame a halftime deficit to beat Houston 61-49. Matt Barron led the Hawks with 23 points. Jeff Baird added eight points and eight rebounds.
