HOUSTON — The Houston Hawks posted a 50-19 win over the Eagle River Wolves in girls basketball action at Houston High School on Tuesday.
Houston held Eagle River to just one point during the first quarter and outscored the Wolves 32-12 during the final 16 minutes of the win.
Captain Amber Acton led all scorers with 16 points, while sophomore Savanna James added 12.

Pats sweep Hawks
HOUSTON — The North Pole Patriots swept the Houston Hawks in a pair of Mid-Alaska Conference games at Houston High School on Thursday.
The North Pole girls used a 24-2 second-quarter run to score a 50-24 win over the Hawks. Savanna James led Houston with nine points.
The North Pole boys followed with a 61-35 win over Houston. Senior Mitch Montreuil led Houston with 12 points.
