KENAI — The Houston Hawks finished winless during the three-day Powerade Kenai River Challenge at Kenai Central High School this week.
Sophomore Savannah James earned all-tournament honors after leading the Hawks during each of their three games.
On Thursday, the opening day of the event, James netted 14 of Houston’s 23 points during a 46-23 loss to host Kenai.
James added a team-high seven points on each of the following two days, in a 61-19 loss to Soldotna and 35-13 loss to Nikiski.
Mt. Edgecumbe won the round-robin tourney with a 3-0 mark. The Braves beat Kenai 49-39 on Saturday.
