Houston hockey team sweeps Juneau

The Houston Hawks scored a pair of wins over Juneau at the Big Lake Recreation Center.

Brody Richard notched the hat trick during a 9-1 win on Friday. Phillip Kuzmin and Trenton Huber scored two goals each. Afanasy Efimov and Anfim Konev also scored.

The Hawks edged Juneau 2-1 the following day. Konvev and Domnin Efimov scored for the Hawks.

Colony went 2-1-0 over the weekend. The Knights beat Houston 4-2 on Thursday. Three of Colony’s goals came in the second period. Carsen Lantto scored twice. Joseph Kirk and Isaac McKenzie also scored.

Andrey Reutov scored both goals for Houston.

The Knights also beat West Anchorage 2-1. Lantto scored both goals.

Soldotna beat Colony 5-2 on Friday. Kirk and Logan Lofland scored for the Knights.

Wasilla split a pair of games against peninsula opponents.

The Warriors scored a 6-3 win over Kenai. Easton McRee led the Warriors with two goals. Staheim, Owen Hoyt, Dalton Hickey and Mason Varner also scored.

Soldotna beat Wasilla 7-5. Dalan Dubie and Branson Starheim scored two goals each. Haakan Wold added a goal.

In other action, Kenai beat Palmer 3-0.
