Houston man dies of apparent carbon-monoxide poisoning

HOUSTON -- A 47-year-old Houston man died Thursday from apparent carbon monoxide poisoning, while trying to get his vehicle unstuck in the driveway.

Bobby R. Kale died in his vehicle, which was parked outside his residence on Paydirt Road prior to 10:30 a.m. Medics responded to a 911 call from his brother reporting that Kale had suffered carbon-monoxide poisoning.

By the time medics arrived, Kale had already perished.

Kale appeared to have been trying to get his truck out of a muddy driveway. It was buried nearly up to its frame, Alaska State Trooper spokesman Greg Wilkinson said, which possibly plugged its exhaust pipe.
