Huge Thanks to Music Festival Volunteers!

The Mat-Su Trails & Parks Foundation (MSTPF) would like to extend a Valley sized thanks to the many volunteers who showed up last weekend to help make the first annual Government Peak Music Festival the overwhelming success it was. From ticket taking to fence building and clean-up, these wonderful Valley folk didn’t hesitate to lend many hands that made for short work.

The proceeds from the Government Peak Music Festival, an annual event and fundraiser for MSTPF will help fund quality trails and parks systems through out the Mat-Su Borough. A primary goal for MSTPF is community access to beautiful places in the Valley and is supported in partnership with the Mat-Su Borough who has been instrumental in the manifestation of the beautiful Government Peak Recreation Area and Ski Chalet where the concert was held. We would also like to thank Pass Radio 99.5 and Legends! 100.9 for advertising the event and spreading the word. And to Owa & Richard at Fishhook Bar who donated their expertise, time and sound equipment which allowed Denali Cooks, Braided River, and Carhart Brothers to share their incredible music. Thank you.

Additionally, we cannot express enough our gratitude to our sponsors: The Salmon Project, Enstar Natural Gas Company, Now Health, Dowl, Mat-Valley Federal Credit Union, Lavender Hair Salon, UPS Palmer, Active Soles, Denali Brewing, Arkose Brewery, and Team Rogers Century 21 who took a chance and collectively donated over $4,000 to an unknown and untested event. MSTPF will be forever grateful to these sponsors, whom without, this event may not have been possible.
