Human remains were found early Tuesday evening near Palmer.
The Alaska State Troopers received a report just before 5:30 p.m. Tuesday that remains were found near the Knik River. The Palmer General Investigation Unit and major crimes investigators also responded and recovered the remains, according to troopers. They were not able to make an identification and the remains were taken by the State Medical Examiner’s Office for an autopsy and positive identification.
