Hurray for smoke-free

To the editor:

I just learned that the Mat-Su Borough School Board and Alaska State Fair both recently issued policies that support smoke-free environments and am delighted! These actions say to me that we are growing as a community in our understanding of the harmful effects of smoking to oneself and to others, and that we are prepared to take action to support the best environment for living and raising children.

Bravo!
