WASILLA- Thirty-six year old Paul Andersen died Thursday afternoon in a motor vehicle collision on Knik-Goose Bay Road.
Anderson’s 2000 Dodge Durango collided with the back of a vehicle driven by 38-year-old Naomi Combs of Wasilla at 3:18 p.m. After Andersen collided with Combs’ Jeep on Knik-Goose Bay Road, traveling northbound near Donovan Drive, he then struck the back of a Subaru driven by 42-year-old Robert Masterman of Bethel.
Andersen was declared dead on the scene and next of kin has been notified. Combs and the passenger in her Jeep were taken to Mat-Su Regional Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries, and investigation is ongoing as to the cause of the accident.
The road reopened at 7:49 p.m.
