Iditarod should put up memorial for dog

To the editor:

An Iditarod dog named Dorado died at the Unalakleet checkpoint. This dog gave its all for the Iditarod. There is nothing more one could ask from anyone or a dog than for it to give its life for a cause. The Iditarod Trail Committee should put up a memorial at Iditarod headquarters to preserve the memory of the sacrifice Iditarod dog Dorado gave for the race. This is the least the Iditarod Trail Committee can do for Dorado. Lets hope they have the spirit of the Raven to do what is right.
