Iditarod start order set

Set for a ceremonial start Saturday in Anchorage and a re-start the next morning in Willow, the Iditarod Trail Committee on Friday released the start order for this year’s mushers. As is tradition, bib No. 1 is an honorary title given to a person who won’t actually be competing. So, starting with bib 2:

As a part of the evening’s festivities rookie Elliot Anderson, from Big Lake, Alaska won a 2014 Ski-Doo Super wide track snow machine donated by Donlin Gold.

The start of the Iditarod Trail Sled Dog Race will begin on Saturday, March,1st at 10 am on 4th Avenue in Anchorage, Alaska.
