There seems to be a lot of talk now days about the big bang theory. For myself, this theory has never made any difference in my life. You see, I am a Christian, and I believe the word of God. A person who doesn’t believe in God would want to have a theory they could believe in this area.
As a Christian, I like the way the Bible says it “God spoke the world into existence.” In Genesis 1:2, it says, “the earth was without form, and void...”
I do not want to come against man’s ideas of how the Earth started just to state a response, but to state that I am a Christian and I believe the Bible. Of course, people who say they don’t believe in God are going to have their own ideas on how the Earth came about for no other reason than to just to come against the word of God. Basically, the big bang theory just leaves God’s hand out of the equation and brings into play the evolutional theory that even some scientists have a hard time believing.
Christians are called believers, we believe the Bible. Now there are some who pick and choose what they wish to believe, but to live a victorious life through Jesus Christ, we must take up the word of God and apply it to our daily walk. To change part of it, or disregard the parts you do not want, is the same thing as leaving God out.
It seems that every time we turn around, there are people that want to leave God out of something. About 50 years ago, it started with leaving prayer out of schools and now the last few years Christians are being told we can’t pray in the name of Jesus in public meetings.
My point is Christians have to be careful what we accept or go along with; we should not go along with things that are against the word of God.
“In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth,” I believe this, I am a Christian.
“So God created in his own image, in the image of God he created him, male and female he created them.” I believe this, I am a Christian.
“Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife and they shall become one flesh.” I believe this, I’m a Christian.
God’s word never changes, a few hundred years ago, man thought the world was flat but the word of God spoke to that, way before man discovered the world was round, in Isaiah 40:22 it says, “It is he who sits above the circle of the earth...” God’s word is always correct.
Our problem today is trying to take God out of this great land, not having “in God we trust” as our motto.
First Corinthians 6:9-10 starts out “do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived.” Find your Bible, go ahead, and read the rest of these two verses. God’s instructions and commandments are pretty clear as we see in the word of God. If we walk in the light of the Bible and keep our eyes on Jesus, we will be victorious, and as we stand up for God’s word we will be rewarded in this age and the age to
come.
I must say again; I don’t follow theories that come against word of God, I’m a Christian. In fact, it is hard for me to understand how a Christian can come against the word of God. We as Christians should stand up and be counted. Hebrews 11:6 says “but without faith it is impossible to please him, for he who comes to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of those who diligently seek him.” I encourage everyone to please God by following the word of God. Jesus said in John 10:27, “My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me.”
