Inscriptions on weapons blasphemous

To the editor:

Our main mission in Afghanistan and Iraq is to win the hearts and minds of the people over to a tolerant form of democratic government. Up until Jan. 18 when “Nightline” exposed Trijicon Inc., to have been inscribing Bible references onto our weapons, our military has obviously condoned this. This has served as fuel for our enemies to use to recruit more jihadists and terrorists against us. So, it is stupid, because it has opposed our mission, and it has put our soldiers in further danger.

Jesus told us to love and forgive our enemies, “Not seven times, but seventy times seven” in Mathew 18:22.

Trijicon Inc. is guilty of blasphemy because they have used God to foment hatred among our enemies, which prolongs these wars to sell more guns for profit.

Romans 12:17 tells us, “Recompense to no man evil for evil,” and 2nd Corinthians 10:3 instructs Christians, “We do not wage warfare after flesh.”

I do not suppose these references were included by Trijicon Inc. on our weapons. I wonder, if there are any Biblical references on all the weapons we have now agreed to sell to Taiwan against China?

Satan is at the helm of all wars, and acts to prolong war on all sides. It is our duty as Christians to expose blasphemy, to rebuke Satan, to love and forgive our enemies and to make peace with them.
