Is it important what you speak?

The word of God places a lot on speaking things that line up with his word and the first thing that comes to mind is the two Israelite spies Joshua and Caleb that spoke positive.

The 12 Israelite spies told of what they saw when they came back from spying out the Promised Land. The two spies, Joshua and Caleb, had a good report. They said “We are more than able to take the land.” But the other 10 spies had an evil report. Why an evil report? Because it was against what God said the children of Israel would have.

Most of us know the true story. Joshua and Caleb had a good report and they finally made it to the Promised Land and more than 2 million peoples didn’t because they followed an evil report. One-time I heard a minister preaching in this area, said an “11-day trip took 40 years.” Following God’s plan always pays off.

The Bible is full of scriptures that talk about what you speak, and about your tongue. Also about not even speaking.

Most Christians don’t think about speaking positive so that it can make an impact on their life but there is a truth here, the word of God says so.

Just recently medical science has proven that what you speak pertaining to your health and body, your central nervous system does everything it can to comply to what you say.

I like the way one minister says, “Well, Dr. Luke taught that some 2,000 years ago”.

Many times Christians say, “I’m just telling it like it is, I don’t want to lie,” when speaking about the negative things in their life.

What we need to understand is to tell it like the word of God says it is.

Speaking God’s word works for you because it keeps the answer before you.

Mark 11:23 says, “Whatsoever you say unto this mountain….”

Keep on saying it like the word of God says it is, and when your spirit picks it up you’ll have what you say, because God never lies. (Hebrews 6:18)

No. I’m not talking about some mind over matter theory; I am talk about what the Bible says.

If you are a Christian and say, “I don’t believe what I speak I can have.” Then just study God’s word in this area and your faith will rise, if you have an open heart.

But, if one does not believe in God or in the Bible then that person needs to get saved, so they will have the abiding presence of the Holy Spirit, and have that measure of faith that Christians receive. Make Jesus Christ your Lord and Savior (Romans 10:9-10). Understanding God loved us so much he sent his Son Jesus Christ, to redeem us from sin, only believe.

Faith to believe, and speaking to receive, go together.

To help grasp the principle about, “What you speak” the Scriptures says “God spoke the world into existence.” When we go over into Genesis 1:3 and see” God said let there be light…” and also we see that 10 times in Genesis 1 “God said” but of course we are not God. But the spiritual truth of speaking God-given words are for us today to possess, to be over comers in this world.

We are not denying that there are negative things in our life; we’re denying the right for it to steal what God says we can have.

Speaking the answer is not denying what exists. It is the principle of calling things that are not as though they are.

Please don’t condemn the blessings God says we can have, God has chosen the method. If you don’t understand this principle, take up the word of God and study in this area, so you can have faith to believe for a blessing that God says we can have.

We’ve talked about right speaking and of course just the opposite is wrong speaking.

James 3:2 “We all make mistakes, but those who control their tongues can also control themselves in every other way.” NLT.

Controlling our tongues allows us to keep the flesh under control.

Sometimes I have to look at myself and make corrections. How do I do that? By opening God’s word and applying it to my daily life.

James 1:26, “If you claim to be religious, but don’t control your tongue you’re just fooling yourself and your religion is worthless”.

Time does not allow adequately to give an in-depth overview of “What you speak” in this article. But God’s word needs to be upheld, doubt, unbelief, continually thrown out is bad for the soul and body. Why not speak biblical truth. God’s word was inspired by holy men of God who were moved by the Holy Spirit. (Second Peter 1:21)

Speak life, not death.
