It’s all about jobs

To the editor:

Business, given the opportunity, will create jobs — good-paying, family wage jobs that increase the wealth and prosperity of our community. Government has the responsibility to protect opportunity through reasonable taxes and meaningful regulations. Opportunity will die if not protected in this way.

Steve Colligan, a candidate for Mat-Su Borough Assembly (District 4, Wasilla), is a businessman who fully understands how to create jobs if given the opportunity. Steve has a proven record of recognizing opportunity and turning it into family wage jobs.

He knows firsthand that for opportunity to exist, it requires a government that enacts reasonable tax policies and meaningful regulations.

We all want good jobs. I give my support to Steve Colligan, an experienced entrepreneur who has actually created good-paying jobs by capturing opportunity. He has the personal tools to help our borough turn opportunity into economic development that produces good-paying, family wage jobs.

I ask you please to vote for Steve Colligan for Assembly Seat 4 on Oct. 4. We need his leadership.
