Retiring teacher, coach urges Colony grads to ‘find their 68’

Jaxon Kent Logan, 18, of Palmer, died Jan. 21, 2005, in Provo, Utah, while doing one of the things he loved the most.
A memorial service was held Jan. 24 at the LDS Chapel, 900 East 85 South, Provo, Utah. Mr. Logan will travel home to Alaska, where a funeral service will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 901 East Bogard Road, at 1 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 29, in Wasilla. Family and friends may call one hour prior to services.
His loved ones wrote, "Jaxon touched the lives of many people in his short time on Earth. He grew up playing hockey and riding snowmachines in the winter and slaying the salmon in the summer. He was attending the BYU in Provo as a freshman and was preparing to serve a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints."
Mr. Logan is survived by his parents, Mike and Darcy Logan; brother, Dustin; sisters, Cortney and Chauri; sister-in-law, Melinda; brother-in-law, Jeff Claeson; grandparents, Rodney and Katherine Logan, Sixto and Beverly Barrera, Rolland and Emily Grover and Patricia Lyman; 32 aunts and uncles; more than 60 cousins and best friends, Jake and Tylan.
