JEFFREY A. GREGG

Wasilla resident Jeffrey Alan Gregg, 49, died June 15, 2005, of natural causes, at Providence Alaska Medical Center in Anchorage.

A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m., Friday, July 15, at Pilgrim's Baptist Church, off the Parks Highway in Wasilla.

Floral arrangements are welcome.

Mr. Gregg was born Sept. 24, 1954, in Bellview, Pa., where he was raised and graduated from high school. He moved to Anchorage in October 1961, later making Wasilla his home.

He was an officer in the Navy, an engineer and a firefighter.

He retired from the Municipality of Anchorage in June 1998 as a firefighter. Mr. Gregg enjoyed hunting, fishing and motorcycles. His hobby was his artistry in the field of taxidermy.

His family wrote, "Jeffrey was a kind and fair man who was good to all he encountered. He was an awesome father and best friend to his children. He will be severely missed. His children wrote, 'We will love you always, Dad!'"

His grandfather, Calvin Gregg, preceded him in death in 1986.

He is survived by his mother, Georgia Gregg; son, Robert Gregg; daughter, April Gregg, all of Wasilla, and brothers, Douglass Gregg of Wasilla and Richard Gregg of Yelm, Wash.

Memorial donations may be sent to the family in care of Robert Gregg, 900 Wesglen Ave., Apt. #2, Wasilla, AK 99654.

Arrangements were made by Valley Funeral Home & Crematory in Wasilla.
