Happy Valentine’s Day!
I had a terrific workout with Jenni at the AT&T Sports Center on Saturday morning. It was hard to get up and get there when my bed was so warm and the temp outside was below zero. But I knew Jenni would be waiting for me, and it didn’t seem fair that she should have to get up and out so early only to have me not show up. So I went, and I am so glad!
I always wondered what it would be like to have a personal trainer. Like many of you, I have watched “The Biggest Loser” and I always thought I’d need someone tough like Jillian. Bob just seems too…easy. It turns out that Jenni is a perfect combination of both personality types. She is as nice as a person can be, but she sure doesn’t let me slack off too much either. Every week she has a new workout for me, so I don’t get bored and I look forward to what is coming next.
Last Saturday we did circuit training, alternating between the stair climber (tough!) and strength exercises in the weight room. The hard part was that Jenni didn’t let me rest between moves (that’s when she’s being like Jillian). The good part is that she offers constant encouragement and is willing to make adjustments when she sees I’m trying my hardest and just can’t do some things (Bob).
I felt so good when the workout was done that I’m now super motivated to go to the gym again today, either at lunch or after work. Maybe I’ll see some of you there!
