Jimmy Paul Littrell, 64, of Wasilla, died of natural causes at his home, on Oct. 22, 2004. A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Nov. 6, at the Eagle's Lodge in Valdez.

Mr. Littrell was born in Lawrence County, Tenn., on March 21, 1940. He moved to Valdez in 1962, where he lived for 35 years before moving to Wasilla in 2001. He was in the U.S. Army and the military police. He worked for Whitney Bros. in Delta Junction for four years, was the chief of police of Valdez and worked for the state of Alaska's Valdez Equipment Shop for 30 years, where he retired as active foreman in 2001.

He enjoyed gardening, four-wheeling, fishing, camping and snowmachining.

His family wrote, "He enjoyed a loving relationship with his wife, Clarice, family and friends. We will love and honor him with our thoughts and prayers. Jimmy is now home with our Lord Jesus."

He is survived by his wife, Clarice; children, Carmen and James Littrell, of Soldotna; stepsons, Kevin Farrell, of Antelope, Calif., and Wade Khail, of Yakima, Wash.; grandchildren, Amanda, Jessica and Jesse James, of Soldotna, and Griffen, Dillon and Tristen, of Antelope, Calif.; an aunt, Belle Littrell Odem, of Killen, Ala.; stepmother, Opal Hughs, and two half-sisters, of Tennessee, and numerous other cousins and friends in Tennessee, Alabama and Alaska.

Memorial donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association at 801 Fireweed Lane, Suite 103, Anchorage, AK 99503.

Arrangements were made by Valley Funeral Home & Crematory in Wasilla.
