John A. Huppert
Palmer resident John A. Huppert, 63, passed away peacefully September 11, 2022, at the Alaska Veterans and Pioneer Home in Palmer from Alzheimer’s disease. John was interred at the Pioneer Cemetery in Palmer.
John was born March 23, 1959, in Palmer, Alaska to Paul and Bernice Huppert. He received his Electrical Engineering degree at the University of Alaska, Fairbanks. During his career he worked for Golden Valley Electric, Municipal Light & Power, and Chugach Electric. John retired from ARCTEC Alaska as a project engineer. John enjoyed traveling, hiking, four wheeling, snowmachining, and most of all spending time with his friends and family.
John is survived by his brother, Jerry Huppert (Palmer), sisters, Paula Giauque (Palmer), and Diane Addington (Anchorage) and brother-in-law Eugene Huston (Palmer). John is survived by nieces and nephews, Troy Huppert, Greg and Lori Giauque, Brian Huston, Bob and Teri Bernowski, Steve and April Kramer, Josh and Rachel Lutz, Nisha Huston, Pat and Kim Beam, and Paul and Heidi Huppert. Twelve great nieces and nephews and three great-great nieces also survive him. John was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Connie Huston.
John was much loved and will be missed dearly by his family and friends.
A celebration of life and potluck will be hosted by his family, Saturday, October 8, 2 p.m. at Johns home, 4957 S. Mitzi Circle, Palmer. All his friends are invited to attend.
