JOSHUA MICHAEL CLEMENT

Anchorage resident Joshua Michael Clement, 28, died May 13, 2004. Mr. Clement was born March 18, 1976, in Renton, Wash., to David M. and Mary A. (Wilson) Clement. He is survived by his daughter, Kierra Clement, of Anchorage; son, Jayden Clement, of Anchorage; sisters Shellie Hecks of Anchorage, Maria Clement of Wasilla, and Savanna Swink of Anchorage; brothers Christopher Lesemann of Ft. Richarson and Damien Lesemann of Wasilla; aunt, Arklee Wilson, of Wasilla; grandmother, Jackie Ann Wilson, of Healy; cousin, Tyler Gawley, of Wasilla; and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents.

Mr. Clement moved to Valdez in 1980. In 1993 he moved to Anchorage. He completed the Apprentice Program with the Southern Alaska Carpenters Union. He was a member of the Southern Alaska Carpenters Union. He enjoyed rapelling, rock climbing, spending time with his children, fishing, camping, and family get-togethers.

"Joshua had a wonderful sense of humor and always managed to put a smile on people's faces. He was a doting father who loved his children unconditionally. His generous heart and warm spirit will be missed by all that knew him. Joshua lived his life, always wanting to help those around him. He never turned his back on a person in need and his love for his family was evident. He was a loving father, brother and good friend to those he was close to. Joshua will be missed by many."

A private family viewing was held May 14 at Anchorage Funeral Home and Crematory. A memorial service was held at 4 p.m. May 19 at CrossPoint Community Church, 1920 Dimond Blvd. in Anchorage. Pastor Dave Kuiper officiated. A wake followed the service at 2413 Lusardi Point Circle, Anchorage. The cremains will be scattered at a later date at McHuch Creek. Anchorage Funeral and Crematory handled the arrangements.
