Joy Belle Weeks-Ford passed away at her parents' home June 16, 2005, of leukemia. A memorial service and celebration of life will be held at 7 p.m., Tuesday, June 21, in the chapel at Valley Funeral Home in Wasilla. Hospice chaplain Joanna M. Lee will officiate.
Ms. Weeks-Ford attended Wasilla High School, loved to ride on Harleys, do arts and crafts and spend time with her children, family and friends.
Her family wrote, "Joy is a loving mother, a wonderful daughter and a great sister. Joy touched many people's hearts with her beautiful smile and bright blue eyes. Joy will always be our Angel shining down on us. Joy will be missed by many.
"Mom, we want you to know that you are a beautiful and wonderful person. You will always be the most important person in our lives and we'll always keep you in our hearts. Love, your kids."
She is survived by her parents, Gerald C. and Rose M. Weeks; three children, Crystal Belle Kraus, Kerby Kraus and Rosa Weeks-Federico; two grandchildren; six sisters and three brothers. Many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews also survive her. Arrangements are with Valley Funeral Home & Crematory in Wasilla.
