JUDY ANN SHANNON

Wasilla resident Judy Ann Shannon, 52, died July 15, 2005, of natural causes, at Valley Hospital.

A memorial service was held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, July 19, at Pilgrims Baptist Church, off the Parks Highway in Wasilla.

Ms. Shannon was born Dec. 18, 1952, in San Francisco. She moved to Anchorage in 1964, and later made Wasilla her home.

She loved Alaska, and enjoyed fishing, sewing, crocheting, collecting angel art and figurines, but mostly she enjoyed spending time with her family.

Her family wrote, "Judy had a heart of gold. She was a wonderful, caring, loving, kind-hearted gift from God.

"She was a fabulous mother, wife, sister, and best friend. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her."

Ms. Shannon is survived by her soul mate, Al Weaver; daughters, Lilly, Audrey, and Christina; sisters, Mary, Ginny, and Gina; brothers-in-law, Ron Hale and Jeff Knight; grandsons, Andrew, Dakota, Wade and Tyler; nephews, Joe, Chris, and Keith; nieces, Darla, Shannon, Joanna, Julie, and Kayla, and dear friends, Pam and Eric, Bruce and Kim, Dwayne and Mya.

Arrangements for the service were made by Kehl's funeral home in Palmer.
