Retiring teacher, coach urges Colony grads to ‘find their 68’

Mrs. Kalin Cox Bline, 47, died at Valley Hospital in Palmer Oct. 31, 2002. Funeral services will be held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints at 901 Bogard Road in Wasilla Tuesday, Nov. 5 at 11 a.m., with interment following at Anchorage Memorial Park. Bishop Kam will officiate.
Kalin was born Oct. 19, 1955, in Lehi, Utah. She was a graduate of Lehi High School and had resided in Alaska for the past 10 years, living in Anchorage for two years, then moving to Wasilla.
Kalin was a wife and a mother.
She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, serving in many positions. She loved the gospel.
Mrs. Bline was founder of the "Heavenly Children's Foundation." She loved gardening, knitting, sewing, painting and animals. She especially loved serving others.
Her family remembers, "She poured her heart into serving others and her example will live on. She will be greatly missed.
Kalin was preceded in death by her brother Loren Cox; her sister Kelly Ann Cox; and her sons Matthew Anderson and Aaron Bline.
Survivors include her husband George Bline and their children Jacob, Laralie and Bethanie Bline, Amie Amacher, Adam Anderson, Kellie Rushton and Hollie Walker; her grandchildren Justin Anderson, Tristan Anderson, Kinzi Walker and Morgan Rushton; her parents Kay and Nyle Cox; brothers David, Jordan and Nathan Cox; sisters Kristi Seely and Carolyn Molyneux.
Arrangements were made by Valley Funeral Home.
