Retiring teacher, coach urges Colony grads to ‘find their 68’

Wasilla resident Katherine "Kitty" Wilson, 62, died peacefully at her home Friday, Nov. 26, 2004. A small service took place Friday, Dec. 3, at 197 E. Kalli Circle in Wasilla.
Ms. Wilson was born May 17, 1942, in Waterville, Maine. She moved to Alaska in 1965. She enjoyed taking care of her home and family and loved the holiday season. She liked to sew, do crosswords and enjoyed playing solitaire on the computer. She loved spending quality time with Freddie. They liked going on road trips, and their last road trip was driving down the Glenn Highway, looking at the wonderful Alaska scenery.
Her family said, "She is with us all and will forever be a part of our lives. We love and miss you."
Ms. Wilson is survived by her longtime companion, Freddie Laviolette; sister, Joyce Groneveld; sons, Kemo "Penny" Crosby, Kevin Crosby and Nate Wilson; daughter, Juanita Williams (and fianc/, Tom); grandchildren, Selena Crosby, Kemo Crosby Jr., Angelica Benavides and longtime friends, Mr. K., Debbie Robinson, Don Lugdon, Lisa Davis and caretaker, Justin Guttormson.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Freddie and Irene Kurlovich, and brother, Freddie Kurlovich.
Arrangements were made by Valley Funeral Home.
