To the editor:
My friend and I passed through Wasilla last week on the Alaska Railroad train headed to Anchorage. We noticed a lot of trash along the tracks and blown into the woods.
It was very unsightly and gives a negative impression of Wasilla.
It appears it has been there for many moons. It must be coming from the business parking lots across the road and blown by the wind across the tracks into the woods. I know other people on the train looking out the window must see it also.
I just wanted to give you a heads up that this needs to be cleaned up and it would be great if folks would not litter in the first place. I have always detested litter and have raised my kids to detest litter also. “Keep America Clean” is a good motto for all Americans. Thanks for reading this letter.
By the way, we enjoyed our visit to Alaska very much!
