Rip and Sandy Patrick of Palmer announce the betrothal of their daughter, Kelleen River Patrick, to Jay Gregory Beno.
The bride to be is a life long Alaskan and great grandchild of Matanuska Valley colonists Tony and Alys Vickaryous.
She graduated high school in 2004 from the IDEA Homeschool Program and attended the Comerford School of Irish Dance in Bellevue, Wash., from 2004-06.
The groom-to-be is the son of Gail Klein and Dave Beno of Eden Prairie, Minn.
He graduated high school in 1997 from Eden Prairie Senior High and college in 2003 from Saint Cloud State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Mass Communications and Public Relations.
The couple met at work and are currently employed at Continental Motors in Anchorage, where she is the contract manager and he is a finance and business manager.
They are planning a fall 2011 wedding in Hawaii.
