On August 2, 2018, beloved wife, mother and nona, Kelly Louise Collins passed away surrounded by family at Providence Hospital. Born in Holdenville, Oklahoma on August 1, 1962 to Betty and Paul Newnam, Kelly always marched and played (literally) to the beat of her own drum. She was a god-loving Christian, loving wife and, dedicated mother. A decorated pageant queen, Kelly held many state and national titles for both her beauty and talent. She would say her greatest achievement was being a good mom to her 5 children and setting an example of love and commitment through her lasting marriage. Kelly enjoyed playing music, singing karaoke with her husband, up-cycling furniture, making friends everywhere she went, and spreading the word of Christ. She is survived by her devoted husband of 33 years, Michael Ray, her proud children, Michael Austin (wife Stevie Collins), Sarah April, Jessee James, Kellcee Louise, Amy Bell and her two grandchildren, Michael Anthony and William Steele. She also leaves behind parents Paul Newnam and Betty & Jim Wilson, sisters Crystal Bostwick and Amber Rhoads and brothers Wayne Newnam and Shawn Newnam. Her memorial service will be held on August 25 at Meadow Lakes Baptist Church in Wasilla, Alaska at 1pm. A celebration of life will be hosted by Four Corners/Spurs lounge in Palmer, Alaska on September 1 at 1pm. There will be a silent auction with all proceeds benefitting the Collins family. “He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge.” - Psalms 91:4
