MAT-SU — Kids can sign up now to be part of the annual Lemonade Day Alaska event, which is set for June 14.

The event teaches kids about starting a business and the importance of financial literacy and giving back to the community. Program participants are allowed to keep all of the money they raise from operations, but are encouraged to spend a little, save a little and share a little with their community.

Now in its fourth year, Lemonade Day Alaska has grown from 1,000 participants in its first year to an anticipated 4,000 registered youth statewide this spring.
