WASILLA — Peter Burchell has won re-election to the Matanuska Electric Association Board of Directors and board president Lee Jordan was voted out by the cooperative's member-owners in results announced today. Janet Kincaid, who was running for the board on a platform with Burchell, also was elected to the board.
MEA member-owners also voted down a controversial proposal that would have changed MEA bylaws so new board members could be sworn in within 15 days of their election instead of in July.
