HOMER — The Colony Knights capped an undefeated regular season with a 3-0 girls soccer win over Homer Saturday at Homer High School.
Senior Ali Baker scored twice in the victory for the Knights. Freshman Peyton Johnstone added a goal in the victory.
With the three goals Saturday, Colony has now outscored its opponents 51-3 this season.
Friday, junior Ariana Saxon scored a pair of goals to lead the Knights to a 3-0 win over Skyivew in Soldotna. Johnstone also scored in the win.
Senior Tess McKittrick recorded the shutout in goal in both matches.
HOMER — A day after shelling Skyview 12-0, Colony scored a 4-1 win over Homer at Homer High School.
Jake Spannegel scored twice for Colony. Chris Olsen and Kyle Bolam also recorded goal. All four goals came in the first 36 minutes of play.
Olsen knocked in a rebound of a Ben Atkinson shot to give Colony the lead during the second minute. Six minutes later, Tanner Menard used a pass to set up Spannegel’s first goal. Harrison Menard assisted on Bolam’s goal during the 32nd minute. Atkinson recorded another assist on Colony’s final goal, a Spannegel goal during the 36th minute.
Homer scored on its only shot of the match during the 25th minute.
SOLDOTNA — Seven different players scored as Palmer cruised to a 7-1 boys soccer win over Skyview in Soldotna Saturday.
Phillip Palm, Geritt Van Diest, Tyler Carbone, Chandler Jones, Josh Banks and Nathan Pempek each found the back of the net Saturday.
Friday, Van Diest scored Palmer’s lone goal in a 2-1 loss to Homer at Homer High.
Peter Ellert scored during the 16th minute to give Homer the 1-0 lead. Van Diest tied the match during the 37th minute.
Carson Duggar supplied the game-winner during the 64th minute.
SOLDOTNA — Palmer capped its regular season with a 2-1 girls soccer win over Skyview Saturday in Soldotna.
Miracle Burton converted a penalty kick and Kristen Van Hoomissen also scored for Palmer.
Homer’s Mandy Gerard scored during the third minute of play, and the Mariners held on for a 1-0 win over visiting Palmer Friday.
