Thanks to a monster effort between the pipes and a late goal during the extra period, Colony grabbed a 4-3 overtime win over rival Palmer Tuesday night at the MTA Events Center in Palmer.
Jacob Kirk scored with 22 seconds left in the extra frame to give the Knights the win. Colony goalie Liam VanBuskirk made 56 saves in the victory.
Palmer outshot the Knights 59-38.
Carsen Lantto scored a pair of first-period goals to give the Knights the early lead. Matthew Ross also scored for Colony. Robbie Yundt and Logan Lofland had two assists each.
Stuart McQuillian, Nicholas McQuillian and Xander Logan scored for the Moose. Brody Joseph made 34 saves.
