ANCHORAGE — Colony’s softball season ended one day sooner than the Knights had hoped.
With a pair of losses at Cartee Fields in Anchorage Friday, Colony was eliminated from the ASAA/First National Bank State Softball Championships.
Colony opened its tournament with a 20-7 loss to Chugiak. West Anchorage knocked Colony out of the tourney with a 15-8 victory over the Knights during consolation action.
Colony made its third straight trip to the state tournament, and sixth since 2008. Colony was in search of its first state tourney win since 2004.
